Sacramento KINGS + The Crocker Art Museum- In The Paint

I have been working on some exciting things in 2024! This is at the top of the list. The Sacramento Kings are celebrating their 40th Anniversary and commissioned me to create a large scale collage. My art along with pieces from over 20 other artists will be on display at The Crocker Art Museum until early January.

Over 40 seasons, the Sacramento Kings have become a cherished part of the city’s story, from the early days at ARCO Arena to the excitement of the present day with the Beam. Celebrating 40 Years in Sacramento offers a glimpse into the team’s journey and honors the passionate fans who have supported them throughout the years. This exhibition showcases works by Kings fans, whose art expresses their deep connection and devotion to the team. Exhibition taking place from Oct 17, 2024 - Jan 5, 2025. This month, get off the sidelines and into the game with ArtMix: In The Paint. It’s full-court fun as the Crocker crosses over into the world of hoops in collaboration with the Sacramento Kings. Enjoy live performances from the Kings entertainment team, get schooled by Jr. Kings coaches leading ball-handling drills, and feel the roar of the dance floor with DJ'd music all night. Get crafty with interactive art activities and partake in royally amazing photo ops.

Go behind the scenes with special chalk talks throughout the evening featuring Jerry Reynolds, Gary “G-Man” Gerould, Kyle Draper, Morgan Ragan and Deuce Mason who will be sharing their experiences with the franchise and their favorite moments over the last 40 years.

Don't forget to stop by the Student & Community Gallery to explore Celebrating 40 Years in Sacramento, a Kings-curated exhibition featuring artwork created by fans and artists associated with the Kings 916 Amplified program, which prioritizes showcasing the work of diverse local artists.

March 4th First Friday Open Studios

First Friday is a FREE EVENT

We took the down time while FF was on hold during Jan & Feb to do a STUDIO REMODEL! It is complete and we are excited to share what we have done with you all.

I will have DREAMER posters up for sale. This is the very first collage - the one that started it all. I’ve always kept this piece for myself until now. I feel it’s time to share and I hope it inspires many people to DREAM in a way that takes their breath away.

Alex has been recently inspired by film photography and developing his own film at home. Along his travels he’s seen some interesting things worth capturing and has a new series to share.

Bailey has made plenty of her awesome unique and stylish earrings which do not resemble your average jewelry.

Open Studio Tour put on by Verge is coming up quick!

This year it will take place on September 11 and September 12.

We will also have a pop up by Buffalo Pizza & Ice Cream (vegan) located in the courtyard of WAL on the 2nd floor outside the community room and GoodJo Coffee will be out front.

There will be well over 20 artists showing their work. WAL Public Market has its first show post Covid up on display titled Screaming In My Face by Jon Buck .

We will have some live music by The Backburners

First Friday Open Studios to resume again July 2nd here at Warehouse Artist Lofts (WAL)

First Friday's are BACK AND I AM SO EXCITED to see you all once again!

We are hosting some GUEST ARTISTS in addition to the typical suspects (WAL residents). The more ART the better!

I would like to introduce you to ALEXANDER SCOTT.
Alex is a digital photographer and he will be showcasing several photographs featuring 35mm cameras from his personal stash. Along with framed limited editions of his work - notecards - stickers - notebooks and he will also bring some vintage cameras bodies and lenses that will up for purchase. You can preview his work here.

I, DACY, of course will have my original art- framed prints and mounted prints for sale. I also am loaded up on yoga mats - beach towels - t-shirts- tote bags - notebooks - stickers- notecards. I also have been working on a line of ART WEAR which involves customized housewares and things to wear. You will find jeans, dresses, rain jackets, umbrellas, bags, throw pillows, ETC. I should be ready to launch that in August so keep your eyes peeled.
